Mahārāja (/ˌmɑːhəˈrɑːdʒə/; also spelled Maharajah, Maharaj) is a Sanskrit title for a "great ruler", "great king" or "high king". A title that producer Jeejaa has earned among the Super Nice Music Group artist roster. For almost a decade this beatsmith has been dropping gems on our label. Since his SNMG debut, "Suitcase", Jeejaa has been pushing his creative envelope - resulting in a more leftfield experience on "Transition", providing mellow house vibes on "Einzelgänger" and now exploring India sonically on "Maharaja". This man is on a train and it's leaving with or without you.

On his latest instrumental effort, "Maharaja", Jeejaa dives deep into the sounds of India. Obscure samples and hypnotizing rhythms provide the perfect backdrop for Jeejaa's impeccable drum selections, though he also knows when to leave the drums behind and let the melodies speak for themselves. This tape is a sonic journey you won't soon forget, from the hypnotizing "Oasis" to the heavenly "Nirvana" (pun intended).
